Getting started

Who can use VakilStudio?

Only advocates enrolled with a State Bar Council, and law firms acting through them. We don't take work from litigants or members of the public.

How is my enrollment verified?

You verify your email and mobile number by OTP, then enter your enrollment number and State Bar Council and upload your Bar Council ID card or enrollment certificate. We check it and email you once your account is approved. You can browse the site meanwhile; ordering opens after approval.

Do you advise my client or appear in court?

No. Work is research and drafting support for you, the instructing advocate. You remain responsible for advice to your client and for anything filed or argued.

Orders and payment

How much does it cost?

Case briefs, research memos and citation searches have fixed prices by urgency, shown on the Services page. Drafting is priced by quote, valid for 3 days.

How do I pay?

You pay 50% in advance through PayU (UPI, cards or netbanking) to start the work. When the work is ready you see a watermarked preview, then pay the remaining 50% to download the editable files.

Do I get a GST invoice?

Yes, for every payment. Add your GSTIN to your profile if you want it shown on the invoice.

Can I use a coupon?

Yes, one coupon per order, subject to its conditions. The discount reduces the total before the 50/50 split.

Can I cancel an order?

Before work starts you get a full refund. Once work has started, the amount paid isn't refunded.

Turnaround time

When does the turnaround clock start?

Once the advance is paid and all required details and documents are submitted. It pauses while we wait for your reply to a question, and stops when the work is marked ready.

What if you miss the deadline?

Your 50% advance is refunded to your original payment method, and you get a coupon worth 60% of the order value, valid for 1 month. No balance is payable, and you still receive the work.

The work

Who does the work?

VakilStudio's research team prepares it, and every piece goes through a final review before it is delivered.

Are citations verified?

We check every authority against an authoritative source. As the advocate, you must still verify citations before relying on them or filing them in court.

Which formats and citation styles do you use?

You receive a Word file and a PDF. You choose the citation style when ordering: SCC, AIR, SCC OnLine or neutral citation. Work can be in English or Hindi.

Can I ask for changes?

Yes. The first revision is free if requested within 7 days of delivery. Where a service offers further revisions, they are paid in advance at the price shown for it on the Services page; otherwise, further changes need a new request. A revision refines the agreed scope; a new question or new facts is a new order.

Why must I give feedback before my next order?

Feedback on each completed order helps us maintain quality. It is private and never published.

Confidentiality

Are my documents kept confidential?

Yes. Only the team member working on your order can open its files, every access is logged, and everyone on the team signs a written confidentiality undertaking. Data is stored in India.

How long do you keep my files?

Uploaded documents and deliverables are permanently deleted 15 days after the order is completed. We remind you 3 days before so you can download them. Invoices and payment records are kept for 6 years as tax law requires.
