Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

VakilStudio, a proprietorship of Avipsit Rath, Srihari Vihar, Jatni, Bhubaneswar, Odisha - 752050, is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data of its users under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").

3. Your client's data in case files

Documents you upload may contain personal data of your clients or others. For that data you decide the purpose, and we process it only on your instructions to perform your order. You confirm you have the right, and any consent required, to share it with us.

4. Consent and withdrawal

We process your data on the basis of your consent and, where applicable, the legitimate uses under the DPDP Act (such as complying with law). You may withdraw consent at any time from your profile or by writing to us; we will then stop processing, except where the law requires us to keep records. Withdrawal may mean we cannot continue your orders or account.

5. Who we share data with

Only with service providers that help us run VakilStudio, under contract and only for these purposes: Supabase (database and file storage, Mumbai region), Vercel (website hosting), Zoho (email, through ZeptoMail, India data centre), PayU (payments), MSG91 (SMS and WhatsApp messages) and Meta (WhatsApp delivery). Team members see only the case information needed for their assigned task, and never your contact details or payment information. We disclose data to authorities only where required by law. We do not sell personal data. Voice typing on the request form is optional: it uses your web browser's own speech recognition (in Chrome, Google's speech service processes the audio), and we receive only the text you choose to submit.

6. Where data is stored

Your data is stored primarily in India. Some service providers may process limited data outside India, only as permitted under the DPDP Act.

8. Security

Files are stored privately and encrypted; download links expire within minutes; access is limited by role and logged; team members sign confidentiality undertakings. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform affected users and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

9. Your rights

You may ask for a summary of your personal data and how it is processed, correction, completion, updating or erasure of your data, grievance redressal, and to nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity. Write to the Grievance Officer below; we acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 72 working hours. If not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed for login and security. We do not use advertising cookies.

11. Changes

We will post any change here with a new effective date and may notify registered users by email of material changes.
